FAQ
Hello there! I thought I would go ahead and try my best to answer any questions you may have. I created answers to the most common questions I get. If you still have questions that are not answered here, please feel free to contact me at contactesmemade4@gmail.com
Do you take custom orders/ pre-order?
No, I do not do custom orders, nor do I take pre-orders for my work. I currently make small collections of work and put them in my shop when they are completed.
When do you update your shop with new work?
The making process is slow made work therefore I currently update my shop 1-2 times a month, but that is subject to change. If you want to know when the next update will be consider following me on instagram or subscribing.
How much is your handmade work?
Prices of my work can vary. I usually share prices on instagram about 1 day in advance on my instagram stories. Prices are subject to change and vary depending on many factors such as time spent working on the piece, material cost, techniques etc. I tend to to make a variety of pieces for a variety of prices.
What is your return policy?
I do not accept returns. Please make sure to read the item description carefully and look at the photos before ordering from this site. If you have a problem with your order or have any questions about your order please use the contact page on this site as soon as possible after your order, ideally within the first hour as it may be possible that I will ship your item soon after purchase.
Do you ship internationally?
No, I do not ship international. I currently only ship in the US.
What is your shipping time frame/ multiple orders/ packaging materials?
I usually ship items out 1-5 business days after a purchase. It is possible that will ship the day of the order. I ship all dolls in boxes. Dolls are usually tied in twine and cushioned with tissue paper, sometimes they may be wrapped in corrugated cardboard. If you placed multiple orders, I will try my best to place the items together in one box if possible. If I ship your items together I will refund you the shipping overages.
What if my package is lost or damaged in the shipping process?
When you place an order I do my best to insure that your package arrives safely. Once I drop of your item to the post office I am no longer responsible what happens to it since it is no longer in my hands. I am not responsible for lost packages or mail, I am not responsible for damaged items from shipping mishandling. Im also not responsible for stolen mail. Please make sure your shipping address is accurate before placing an order and check your tracking to have an idea of when your package will arrive. Tracking info can take a couple of days to update. If you order stickers without tracking, I am also not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen mail. I do not refund money for lost, damaged or stolen mail.
Will you be remaking this piece?
I tend to not recreate pieces completely. I would say even when I try to recreate a piece (which is rare) it never quite comes out exactly the same. I usually do revisit concepts and change details about it. For example, no clowns are always exactly the same. I will change up either a minor detail such as a pom pom color or I'll change the outfit style or color. What Im trying to say is yes I do revisit concepts such as witches, clowns, pumpkins, scarecrows, etc. However it is very rare that I recreate a doll down to every detail of an existing one.
Is Your Work recommended for children or play?
No, none of my work is intended for children or for play. There are small parts and delicate parts in my work. The faces although finished with a protective varnish can still be distorted if not handled properly. All my work is for display purposes only.
What materials do you use to make your work?
The materials I use can vary from piece to piece. To get a good idea of what materials I used please reference the description that is in the specific doll listing. In general here are some common materials I use. When it comes to dolls I use kona cotton for the doll bodies. I stuff all dolls with non toxic %100 wool stuffing. I add a little pouch inside dolls with micro glass beads. Other materials include, thread, buttons of various sizes, wool felt, wool roving, yarn, mohair locks, mohair fabric, faux fur, embroidery thread, clay, paper clay, apoxie clay, pom poms, cotton fabric, thrifted and repurposed fabric and art materials, acrylic paint, pencil, glue, wire, tape and varnishes.
How do I care for my piece?
One way to care for your piece is to display or store in a safe place. Ideally a display case or display enclosure to protect it from the elements. Avoid mishandling your piece as some elements are fragile and breakable. If it gets wet from water, just let it air dry. Do not place any work in a washing machine. If a spot on the dolls clothing gets dirty spot clean gently and air dry. Fix a dolls hair gently with your fingers. You can get rid of dust by gently using a lint roller on the body. The face on the other hand and other painted parts can be gently patted with blue painters tape or washi tape since the painted areas can be delicate although they are varnished with a fixative it doesn't guarantee to hold the pigment in place permanently. Displaying your doll on a doll stand in a safe place is helpful. keep away from pets and children and goblins.
Can I get a tattoo of your artwork/doll?
I am considering creating a listing for a tattoo pass in the near future, but for the time being there are other things you can do to get a "pass". If you have purchased a doll from me in the past, if you've bought a print, postcards or stickers or any work at all from me then yes go ahead and get a tattoo. All patrons on patreon can get my work tattooed. Thank you so kindly for loving my work enough to get it tattooed on you! Im even flattered by the tattoos inspired by my work! :) Thank you!
